I've seen some arguments from early 2005 about this chipset support for the kernel.

Does anybody know if I can get Gentoo installed on this thing? It's an IBM x306m with the ServeRAID included.

Apparently this thing is an Adaptec AIC 9405W chipset, requiring an adp94xx driver. I don't see this in the 2005.1 install CD, don't know if it's included in later gentoo kernels.


Any comments?
