I've got a Hauppauge pvr 350 card and a pcHDTV 3000 card that both seem to work perfectly... if I manually load the modules with modprobe, ivtv first and cx88-dvb second. But if I have them set to autoload in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6, the pvr350 barfs, and the output is just a black screen with no (discernable) audio.
Has anyone else seen this? is there a way around this short of writing some init script that manually mod-probes them? |

The ivtv modules should be autoloaded on boot. Do you have colplug/hotplug installed? _________________

when I run coldplug, the modules are installed, but just like loading the modules with /etc/modules.autoload.d, the pchdtv card works fine, but the pvr350 card just shows a black screen.
If I reboot without coldplug set to default, and install ivtv and then cx88-dvb by hand with modprobe, it works fine.
Any other ideas? |

Have you tried loading the cx88-dvd modules from /etc/conf.d/local.start? _________________

I tried there, and I tried coldplug. No auto-loading seems to work at all... I seem to be required to manually load ivtv, and then later load cx88-dvb. Anyone have any other ideas? I'm about tapped out. |
