|
|
This is driving me nutts.... please tell me where am I going blind.....
I want 3D acceleration..... ok so we want dri drm glx
this looks good:
Code: | linuxbox shane # lsmod | grep drm
drm 78872 2 i915
agpgart 37392 3 drm,intel_agp
|
but this does NOT:
Code: | linuxbox shane # glxinfo | grep render
Unrecognized deviceID 2592
direct rendering: No
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
|
OK, lets debug....
Code: | linuxbox shane # cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep I810 | tail
(II) I810(0): LFP compensation mode: 0x1
(II) I810(0): Using XFree86 Acceleration Architecture (XAA)
(==) I810(0): Backing store disabled
(==) I810(0): Silken mouse enabled
(II) I810(0): Initializing HW Cursor
(**) I810(0): DPMS enabled
(II) I810(0): X context handle = 0x00000001
(II) I810(0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler
(II) I810(0): [DRI] installation complete
(II) I810(0): direct rendering: Enabled
|
what's there to debug?
Xorg tells me "direct rendering Enabled"..... glxinfo tells me "no"
