I would like to use my linux machine as a file server. Is there any way to set it up so that my other computer with Windows xp home edition can share too?

I did look that over. But with xp home edition has limited networking capabilities and wouldn't work. Someone should write a wiki on Linux - XP heh.

Sure it does. The wiki won't come up for me right now, but unless it's using Samba/Windows Domains, XP Home works fine.
