Hi
I need to send reports from the Gentoo system that I am emerging to another computer on my home network. Other computers on the network use sendmail, and are working. I have emerge'd sendmail, rc-update'd default, netstat -l shows smtp LISTEN. I can telnet in from another system and talk to sendmail, but I really don't know what to say.
All I really want to do is to receive a report from logwatch, once a day.
I have spent a couple of hours searching now, and can find little information.

Thank you for taking the time. I have started reading [It is good to have a starting point.] I can see that there will be considerable testing, and note taking.
