hi all,
after compiling the ck-sources, i can't run cpufreqd any more ... it complains:
Code: | * cpufreqd requires the kernel to be configured with CONFIG_CPU_FREQ
|
the funny thing is, CONFIG_CPU_FREQ is enabled ... actually the same configuration works fine on a recent mm-kernel ...
but cpufreqd is right in that way, that /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/ doesn't contain any files it could use ...
any idea?
thanks ... tim |

A: Look for ACPI related error messages with dmesg | grep ACPI. Try to update the BIOS, especially if a broken DSDT is reported. You can also try to fix it yourself (which is beyond the scope of this guide).

Maybe that'll give you a hint. The full guide is here: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/power-management-guide.xml. |
