Hi all...

I tried to install nvidia-glx, all done correctly, install successfully, glx up and running etc etc...

But when I reboot =/

X server cant start and returns:
Code:
"Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module!"

The only way to go back to X is unmerging and remerging nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx...

I don't know what this could be!

My conf:
DFi NF4 Ultra-D
Winchester 3000+ at 2340MHz 260x9
2x512Mb at 260MHz @ 2,5-3-3-5 2T

When you reboot, check lsmod. nvidia should be listed under Module. If not try
Code:
modprobe nvidia
If that works, add nvidia to /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 if you are running a 2.6 kernel, otherwise add it to 2.4 if you're running 2.4. Then reboot and do an lsmod and see if nvidia is listed.
