I recently followed the howto on the Gentoo website to get UTF-8 up and running on my system. Everything seems to be working well, and I was actually wondering about filenames on my iRiver mp3 player (VFAT file system). It (the player itself) displays special symbols on tags fine, but it fails to display the actual filenames (and directory names) correctly. I've checked with convmv, and the filenames are indeed in UTF-8. Is there anything else I need to do here to get it working fully? Has anyone gotten Unicode working fully with an iRiver product?
