How do I decide on which processor family to use when configuring the kernel? Here is my....

In the Processor Family section of menuconfig chose the Pentium4/Celeron... option. (Not the other P3/Celeron CPU)
This one: Code: | ( ) Pentium-4/Celeron(P4-based)/Pentium-4 M/Xeon |

I think you should use this one instead Code: | ( ) Pentium-4/Celeron(P4-based)/Pentium-4 M/Xeon |
There are no pentium III chips that clock to 2.5GHz so it has to be pentium 4 based. _________________
