I just install gentoo on the weekend and everything is running smooth, but if I attemp to ls /boot is empty, is this is correct or someting is wrong?. _________________ Show me the Linux! |

assuming you followed the handbook, try 'mount /boot' first |

if you followed the instructions, then the entry in fstab for /boot will have the option "noauto", so that /boot doesn't get mounted after booting unless you do so manually. That's for security reasons so that you don't accidentally kill one of the most critical parts of your system by whatever you might be up to + you don't need to have it mounted most of the time _________________ "Confident, lazy, cocky, dead." -- Felix Jongleur, Otherland
