Hello,

I am trying to install a 32 bit change root and am getting the following error after following the instructions at http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/howtos/index.xml?part=1&chap=3. Anybody knows how to fix this?

Code:

shwetavibhav / # emerge -au world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

I had this problem, too, while following the AMD64 32-bit chroot guide.

I was able to solve it by emerging portage first (while in the chroot environment), before emerging world. It worked in my case.
