|
|
When I run galeon, this error message is showed:
Quote: | The Application "galeon" has quit unexpectedly.
You can inform the developers of what happened to help them fix it. Or you can restart the application right now.
|
I ran it with gdb to see more debug info, and I saw this message:
Code: | Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

from /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/components/libwebbrwsr.so

I have mozilla-firefox-1.5-r9 installed (with -gnome if it makes any difference) and my window manager is FVWM. It's also worth noting that Epiphany crashes with the same error message.

Have you checked the Galeon mailing lists and Google? I've been using 2.0.0 since it was in portage, and haven't had a 'startup' problem (I've had some crashing problems though). _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

Yes, I searched everywhere. It seems to be a problem related to Gentoo (or maybe GTK+ 2.8.8 ), because I compiled Galeon on other systems and it ran fine. |

I updated Firefox to 1.5.0.1-r1 and Galeon magically started working! Epiphany is working too. |
