Just a quick question, i'm trying to get the net working on my AMD64 - nf4 board. I've looked through the forums, and it would seem that the forcedeth driver is the one that I want to get the net up and running. I have looked though the kernel options (via make menuconfig) but can't seem to find the option in the kernel (2.6.12-gentooo-r6 from the live cd). Maybe i need to get my glasses checked, but could someone confirm which menu/location i can find it in? or let me know if i'm looking in the wrong place?
Cheers

I know how frustrating it can be when you can't find an option, but luckily I know where this one is:
Code: | Device Drivers -->
Network device support -->
Network device support [*]
Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit) -->
Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit [*]
EISA, VLB, PCI nad on board controllers [*]
Reverse Engineered nForce Ethernet support (EXPERIMENTAL) [*/M] |
Well thats where it is on my setup (2.6.14-gentoo-r2) _________________ #387403 |

thanks for that psychotic2k seems I had installed the driver after all, though not as a module. I had merely just connected the network cable to the marvell network connection. So obvious why I didn't notice is beyond me.... |
