Maybe my search was incorrectly formed or I'm blind, but I cannot seem to find anything on this and thought you knowledgeable folks might have an answer.
I am running Postfix and have registered an account with DynDNS. I want to be able to send email to a local user account through the DynDNS address.
1. Is this even possible?
2. What changes to /etc/postfix/main.cf need to be made?

did you try this:
# INTERNET HOST AND DOMAIN NAMES
#
# The myhostname parameter specifies the internet hostname of this
# mail system. The default is to use the fully-qualified domain name
# from gethostname(). $myhostname is used as a default value for many
# other configuration parameters.
#
myhostname = domain.dyndns.com

Just tried that. Still no dice.
S'okay, though. It's not essential and I think I'm just gonna let it go for now. It was more to see how it would be done.
It could also be a port forwarding problem on my router, too.
When I get home, I'll investigate it more. _________________ -- The world is full of tough guys. It doesn't need me to be one too. |

I have the same setup. All I did was was set the mydomain = hostname here. And of course yo uhave to open port 25 on the router to recieve mail and thats it. At least that was ll I had to do _________________ Information is pure. Take a knife, for example. You can use it to cut up vegetables, butter your bread, etc. Or you can use it as a weapon.
