Cannot install printers in browser.

I just redid my gentoo install and for some reason the 'http://127.0.0.1:631/printers' printing trick is no longer available to me. I get the connection was refused error. I have cups installed. Anyone know why this might be?

Are you sure that CUPS is running? Run /etc/init.d/cups start just to be sure. It'll give you an error if it is already running.

What is the contents of your /etc/hosts file?
