Alternatives to Exchange server

Any advice on what i can use instead of exchange server that can deliver mail to all OS's I have bee given to many linux task this week ! finding some of this really hard specailly this one . Any suggestions or cons and pros onalternatives would be great

There are many different routes you can go. If you specifically want something that mimics exchange, then OpenXchange is probably what you would want.

Might help at least to expose you to what's available. There are several that have outlook plug-ins available.
