Ehm... Everything in linux uses that file you know.. If your DNS server isn't in that file, you wont dns anything The Linux Kernel itself doesn't have the dns server in his memory to my knowledge, and even if it has, it would read it from that file, so use it _________________ Life is like a box of chocolates...
