Patching ACPI kernel

Hi,

I just installed gentoo on my laptop (Toshiba satelite 5000) using the acpi-sources kernel.

I heard about the low latency & the preemptible patches and I would like to know if it's possible for me to add those patches to the acpi-sources kernel.

Try gentoo-sources kernel instead. I am using this right now on this laptop and it is running just fine.
