Hallo zusammen,
ich hoffe mal, dass ich hier Hilfe bekomme. Hab in den letzten 2 Wochen hunderte Forum-Posts durchgearbeitet, aber leider konnte mir keiner Helfen. Also, mein Problem ist folgendes.
Ich habe ein Acer Extensa 2902LMi Notebook. Die Komponenten sind:
Intel Centrino M715 (1.5 Ghz, 2MB-L2 Cache)
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 64 MB
15' SXGA TFT-LCD.
Habe den Gentoo-Kernel: 2.6.14-gentoo-r5
Der Monitor hat eine bevorzugte Auflösung von 1400x1050.
Nachdem ich alles kompiliert habe, hatte ich auch diese Auflösung. Jetzt habe ich letzte Woche erfolgreich versucht 3d-beschleunigung zu bekommen. Habe die ati-driver 8.14.13-r3 emerged. Und dann fglrxconfig ausgeführt.
Seit dem, kann ich im Gome nur noch die Auflösung 1280x1024 oder niedriger wählen. Dadurch wird das ganze Bild verzerrt und die Schrift undeutlich.
Habe auch schon die Treiber 8.16.6 probiert, aber die liefen noch schlechter.
Meine Frage wäre sonst, ob irgendwer die selben Komponenten hat und mir seine xorg.conf Datei posten kann, oder irgendwer eine Idee hat, woran es liegen könnte!?
Ich verzichte gerne wieder auf die 3d-Beschleunigung um wieder auf 1400x1050 zu kommen.
Hoffe mir kann wer helfen. Danke schon mal.

Hi, ich hab zwar ne Mobility x400 in meinem Notebook, dafür aber die gleiche Auflösung.
Bei mir habe ich das ganze getestet, verwende es aber nicht, da mir die ati-drivers zu buggy sind. Ich habe die Konfig erstellt und getestet, und wenn ich mal zocken will, starte ich einen extra X-Server mit dieser Konfig.
Probier sie aus, sollte gehen.

Hi,
*EDIT*
ich hab jetzt zumindest herrausgefunden, dass es nciht an der xorg.conf liegt. Habe "startx" mal mit dem root ausgeführt, da hab ich die 1400x1050 Auflösung. Werd jetzt mal mein komplettes home Verzeichniss durcharbeiten.
Irgendwas darin muss den X-Server kaputt hauen.
Hat jemand das Problem mal gehabt?
