Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server
(EE) Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap
waiting for X server to shut down
Couldnt get a file descriptor referring to the console

I ran into a similar problem using modular X and the ati-drivers. The fix for me was editing the modules path in xorg.conf to:
Code: |
# The module search path. The default path is shown here.
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
|
Also, the rgb was wrong also, I had to change it to:
Code: |
# The location of the RGB database. Note, this is the name of the
# file minus the extension (like ".txt" or ".db"). There is normally
# no need to change the default.
RgbPath "/usr/share/X11/rgb"
|
Hope that helps B-) _________________ Time is what keeps everything from happening all at once. |

Seems like you don't have any space left on /var/tmp... |
