Hi, I have been using gentoo for 2+ years on a machine, with dual processor AMD 1800+. I just removed the old disks, and installed different disks to reorganize my sw raid.
On booting the 2005.1-r1 live cd I used gentoo-nofb kernel and got the error:
Code: |
request_module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-ffff
|
The kernel is loading detecting all the disks and basic hw well. When it switches to the init process is when the error starts. On the live CD, i have tried many different options, nosmp, nodetect, nousb, noaipc none have worked.
Any ideas?

I reburned a new CD, and switched from the nvidia card, with an older ATI AGP card i had and the 2005.1 liveCD worked fine. |
