hey out there!
i got a brand new color laser printer, but it refuses to work. i use cups with foomatic. the printer is on local network, responds to ping and prints its own configuration/testpage on demand (using the hardware buttons). this is my printers.conf:

if i try to print a testpage via software/cups nothing happens. if i try to rescedule the job, which state is "aborted", cups tells me: client-error-not-possible
any clue what this is about? solutions?
this is my first time configuring a printer, so please be nice if i ask dumb questions

I got the same one. Had it working with Gentoo, deb, and OS X.
Tried using the internal NIC , or the USB connector?
Minolta has a ppd (iirc) which can be loaded into CUPS.
Try it
By the way: didn't get colour to work properly

tried both, but i want to get it working on lan.
how should i load it into cups? |
