I am running an emerge -e world and i am running into this problem.

configure: error: Unable to successfully link Athena library (-lXaw) with test program

I have no idea what the athena lib is and the other posts said something about emergeing Xaw3d (didnt help) and also trying revdep-rebuild nothing helped. Any Ideas?

I just tried USE="Xaw3d" emerge xterm for a reason unknow to my self and it seems to work, should i be concerned?
