Hallo,
als ich automount installierte und es an meiner Digi-Cam ausprobierte, hatte ich keine Probleme. Das war vor einigen Tagen. Gerade vorher wollte ich wieder auf meine Kamera zugreifen, aber automount tut gar nichts?
Das "autofs" init-Script wurde problemlos beim Bootvorgang gestartet. (auch ein restart wurde ausgeführt)
In /etc/autofs/auto.master ist folgende Zeile auskommentiert:

In /etc/auto.misc wurde folgende Zeile hinzugefügt:
| Code: | | fujicam -fstype=vfat,user,exec,umask=000 :/dev/fujicam |
/dev/fujicam ist ein symbolischer Link zu sda1, hält sich an eine udev-Regel und es gibt auch kein Problem, wenn ich die Kamera manuell mithilfe der fstab mounte.
Der Eintrag in der fstab ist aber wegen automount kommentiert. Sie kommen sich also nicht in die Quere.
Was habe ich übersehen?

Ich bin nun draufgekommen, dass es eigentlich schon funktioniert, nur sieht man das Verzeichnis nicht.
Wechsle ich nach /misc, sehe ich das Verzeichnis "fujicam" nicht. Wenn ich aber "cd fujicam" im Verzeichnis /misc eintippe, komme ich plötzlich ins fujicam-Verzeichnis. Es ist also hier, aber unsichtbar. Kann man dagegen etwas machen, also es sichtbar machen?

Ich weiss nicht was das mit dem versteckten Verzeichnis auf sich hat, und bin nicht sicher ob das zur Lösung des Problems beiträgt, aber im ebuild zum ivman-0.6.8.ebuild steht geschrieben:

Note that, as of version 0.6.0, the IvmConfigMappings.xml configuration
file is no longer required to correctly mount fstab entries which
use symbolic links. You may safely remove this file if desired.
However, HAL typically does not correctly deal with fstab
entries of this nature, therefore it is strongly recommanded that
you have real device names (i.e. not symlinks) in /etc/fstab.

Naja, das wird damit wohl nichts zu tun haben, da ich ivman gar nicht installiert habe.
Außerdem haben die Einträge in der fstab unter Verwendungs von autofs doch gar keine Bedeutung.
