I compiled a vanilla 2.6.15 kernel last week, on a Dell (Poweredge 2650) server (which is in constant usage), ever since the load average has stayed solid at > 1.
There is nothing interesting in the process list, the only thing which changed is the kernel.
Does anyone know any kernel gotchyas which cause this kind of behavious? |

Having had a better google around I found people reporting it with the CONFIG_DELL_RBU option.
I will have to recompile and swap the new kernel in when I can grab some downtime... |
