Hi,
My gf is about to start up a company, and she wants to have a way of sharing her calendar and appointments with other people on her local LAN. I've seen that there are a few solutions out there- I found evolution, openexchange, and OpenGroupware within ten minutes. The thing is, I want something which is easy to install, preferably without a zillion dependencies. I don't need so many bells and whistles, all I need is:
Ability to share calendars and appointments
an alarm function via email (when an appointment is due)
web interface
With a web interface I wont have to try (yet again) and fail to get her to switch from her wintendo box to a real operating system...
Any tips? _________________ http://blahonga.yanson.org - little geekblog

Thanks for the quick reply!
I took a look at php-calendar, it just might be what I've been looking for
After I made my first post, I saw something called egroupware... its waaay more heavyweight than what I initially wrote, but it seems to be quite cool- does anyone have experience with this project?
Cheers! _________________ http://blahonga.yanson.org - little geekblog

Never worked with egroupware before so I have no comparisons but php-calendar is very very lightweight with no extraneous cruft (it's a calendar and nothing else) and seems to fit perfectly with the number of users you mentioned. _________________ Gentoo: it's like wiping your ass with silk. |
