Is it worth it for me to install Apache2? I am currently running an internal webserver for my network, with php, and ssl. Does anyone think there is a benefit from moving from Apache 1.3.27 to Apache 2.xx.xx? Thanks in advance. |

i don't see why you shouldn't.
well, i've heard that the PHP support hasen't been to good.
but apache2 has been stable for almost a year now, if i'm not misstaken, and the php support has proably gotten better.
i'm goin to run apache2 when i get my new server. _________________ 1 + 1 + 1 = 11 |

No reason not to that I can see. I've got Apache2 and PHP 4.3 running just fine. I read several posts in this forum about the difficulties to expect when installing these two, but a simple emerge was all it took for me. _________________ -- The world is full of tough guys.
