I have a laptop hp pavillion ze4300 with ati radeon igp 320M.
While i'm extracting snapshot my pc suddenly switchs off.
When my "Live cd" cd is loading i get the following message:
"Warning:ati radeon igp gentoo northbridge is not yet fully tested "
i really don't know if this is the cause of my problem but it could be a clue.
i have tested my Ram with memtest86:after 20 minuts more or less laptop switched off,
what does it mean?
please help me!

You laptop is shutting off after memtest too? It could be your battery. Make sure your power adapter is plugged in all the way and it isn't shorting out. If those things are working the way they should, I would suspect the RAM is the problem. _________________ "Great spirits have often encountered violent opposition from weak minds." - Albert Einstein |

maybe your laptop is running too hot and shutting down? seems like it only happens when you are putting alot of stress on the cpu...have you checked your temps? |
