sometimes weird things happen to text in window based applications. By window based, I mean where it's using something like qt or whatever Firefox uses to draw text characters. It doesn't affect the text in konsole.
It's most obvious in firefox, or kate, or kwrite. Sometimes I'll just be typign and I'll see little black squares pop in and out. Other times I'll drag, and some text will look squished or obscured. Has anyone had this experience? It only happens on my x86 work pc, it doesn't happen on my AMD64 at home.
Since I figure this is linked to video card, my lspci output is:

Do you have RenderAccel enabled in the Device section of xorg.conf? Sounds similar to an ongoing problem I'm having.... |

I have Option "RenderAccel", I think that means it is on but I'm not sure |
