Is there an easy way to view the messages that portage provides when installing/upgrading a package? They bleed out of my buffer pretty quickly, especially when i have a long list of things to compile.
Thanks! |

Code: | emerge bleh > log.txt | or Code: | emerge bleh 2> log.txt | depending on which set of messages you'd like to record. (Experiment with it.) |

Moved from Portage & Programming to Duplicate Threads. See https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-131795.html - read through it, there are some tools around that do a quite well job in collecting the important information for you. Welcome to the forums btw _________________ KDE |
