my guess not passing arguments to the add user program...
but how to fix i dont know...
any ideas????

I suspect you can get round the problem by manually creating a user with those given paramaters. I suspect the useradd syntax has changed slightly recently.

I just got the same error. Nothing in bugzilla about it yet. It looks like the fault may be the portage enewuser function.

UPDATE: Fixed. There was a bug already out there that my search (for some very mysterious reason) failed to find. Already fixed in portage. Here it is:

I just filled a bug report on this. May be something else to blame other than the ebuild, but here it is if anybody is interested:

So, just a quick question. Do I need to wait another 3 hours while mythtv recompiles, or with the new ebuild can I specify the already compiled mythtv-0.19 in /var and install that?
