MythTV as a security DVR?

Anyone know or have configured MythTV as a security DVR for a security camera system? Thoughts?

Never tried it, but it should work fine. As long as you have an input video signal, you can record it.

It seams a litle heavy for me however. If it is an un-attended video recording, you might want to run a script that does the recording strait to file without a frontend. Would be lighter.
