I'm trying to find some good documentation on how /dev/radio devices actually work.

I've got an ASUS TVFM 7135, and I've been fiddling to try to figure out radio, but am hampered by the fact that there doesn't seem to be any information on how it works... (Not to mention that there is no documentation on whether it is *supposed* to work on my card or not ;-)

For example, what does /dev/radio do? Is it just the point at which frequencies are adjusted?
And should my /dev/dsp device be producing the sound? Or what?

Does anyone know where I can find some information on the whole structure of how radio stuff works?

Thanks!
