Can anyone give me an idea how to install kde 3.3.0 from Gentoo Package CD 2004... i tried with emerge --usepkg kde but it starts to download new kernel 2.6.x and kde 3.4 .. i tried with emerg --usepkg kde-3.3.0.tbz2 in that case emerge tell me there is no some ebuilds..i tried to untar old portage which contains kde-3.3.0 ebuilds and then i tried again with emerge --usepkg kde .. The dep check was seccesseful.The pacage cd doesn't contain some packages and gentoo start to download it ( example: glib ) but when the package was downloaded and it was time to untar emerge tell me another error..  |

I don't have that CD ... but will try help.

What error ?
Maybe try using option --usepkgonly. Make sure that the $PKGDIR is correct. |

| I tried but the cd doesn't contain all packages which are need..and also when i start emerge kde 3.3 starts to emerge kernel 2.6.15-r1 and newest qt.. |
