Hi,
Just wondering would it be possible to set the XMMS playlist to display the songs in, say, 2 columns? I have a lot of songs, which means a lot of scrolling - especially when there's plenty of screen space available to display them horizontally. Could it be done?
Alternatively, can the songs be added in a hierarchical format (e.g. folders and songs), a bit like the real files in the File Manager. So the songs would play just the same, they'd just be a bit easier to scroll through (you could expand\contract folders as required).
Any ideas? Might be a bit of a tall order but I thought I'd ask all the same!

AFAIK there is no way to get XMMS to do that. You might want to try the beep media player (forked from XMMS) or something like amarok.

Not with the XMMS. You can try workaround it by opening 2 or 3 XMMS instances (there's an appropriate option in XMMS preferences) and then load 3 different playlists. But I guess it wouldn't satisfy You.
