|
|
i have a wired behaviour with gnome 2.12 (fresh emerged)
when i move a window it looks like a there is a kind of transitioning or shuffle (cant describe in english sorry) effect...
look at my screenshot... when i move a window it changes his appearance permanently. when i open another window on top of that and close it the old window is ok. or if i maximize and rezise it, the error is gone. in this screenie it looks really good... most times are the contents also overdrawn.
i remerged cairo and my xorg video driver also (using xorg 7 with i915 and dri) i tried to deactivate dri but Option "DRI" "false" seems not to work?..and when its work its just a ugly workaround

that looks and sounds like a problem i used to have when i had composite rendering enabled then changed themes it would kinda glitch out like you're describing; but we don't have too much information to work with- would you mind posting your xorg.conf file? you also said you remerged your xorg video driver- are you meaning vesa/mesa because you've got DRI enabled or ati/nvidia and was using GLX? if so what version of the video driver did you have installed- thanks,
