| I have a 3Com Etherlink XL 3C905C-TX, and have set up the machine to run with the 3C59X driver. I have only basic knowledge of Linux, and I set up this machine to learn Linux a little better. I went through the whole setup process by the letter, and the installation completed successfully. I am using Gentoo 2005.0 2.6.11-r3. I have tried everything I know, and cannot connect to the internet. Can someone here please help me? |

When you boot into gentoo, it should tell you quite at the end about eth0 are there any errors such as !! instead of OK. have you compiled the drivers into the kernel( i dont really know the drivers so i can only be of basic help), or as modules if as modules did you write them into your /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6??
