I emerged realplayer 8-r2 but it did not work. When I run realplay, it just show part of the initial screen then no respond. I had to use Ctrl-C to stop it. The KDE version is 3.0. I have a 2.4.19-r5 kernel with preemtive patch enalbed. Anyhelp or suggestion? Thanks. |

arts is probably hogging the dsp device. try to stop it, or run realplay with artsdp
Code: | artsdsp realplay .... |

You can also set arts timeout to low value. That way when arts is idle for a short period it'll release the dsp device and you can run the program as usual without the need for artsdsp.
In control center select:
Sound | Sound server
And set autosuspend if idle for to something low (3 secs for an example).
Now arts will autosuspend after 3 sec of inactivity and you can run realplay as usual. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |
