The first time was when writing a 1GB+ tar.bz2 file to an HFS+ partition, this second (and last, for me) time was when running qemu-img to create a 10GB disk image file on a HFS+ partition.
Both times the Mac OS 9 installation residing on the HFS+ partition gets hosed.
So don't do that. |

Sorry but don't have specific info on these filesystems or kernels.
However, this HAS to be a large file support problem with something or other.
HFS+ came out with OSX, right? Which means OS9 might not support large files even though HFS+ might?
Also wonder if you have created large files with your Linux box on other file systems? One example I can think of where I've run into this is VMware, in which case I had to segment the disk image file to allow the filesystem to exist on an EXT3 filesystem and its 2G limit. |
