:(

I have installed the default kernel-2.6.15 and ipw2200 (2006-02-05).

But after I modprobe ipw2200, I cannot find any new wireless interface.

I searched the forum, it seems it is a bug to kernel 2.6.15 inbuild ipw2200.

I wonder to know What version of kernel and ipw2200 can work?

Thanks!

the same kernel version 2.6.15 (gentoo-sources) with ipw2200 compiled as a module in the kernel (not the ipw2200 package in portage) works for me just fine: Dell Latitude D810.

You mean your ipw2200 is net-wireless/ipw2200 , not coming with the kernel, right?

I'm using 2.6.16-rc1 on my laptop atm. The ipw2200 code provided with the kernel works fine on my HP dv1000.
