Hi all,
I updated my machine lately and since then nano behaves weird.
It starts as usually, but when I press any key it prints messages (intentioned as debugging-messages?) all over the screen.
For example when I press cursor-left it prints
Code:
get_key_buffer(): key_buffer_len = 1
                                    parse_kbinput(): kbinput = 260, meta_key = 0, func_key = 0, escapes = 0, byte_digits = 0, retval = 2
                                                        get_shortcut(): kbinput = 2, meta_key = 0, func_key = 0
                               get_toggle(): kbinput = 2, meta_key = 0

It started after a global update (emerge -uDv wolrd), I don't know if nano was updated too, but downgrading from 1.3.9 to 1.2.5 didn't help.

Thanks for reading,
froonk

First things first - someone needs to ask it:
Did you run etc-update after the upgrade?
and:
Do you keep a emerge-log? (/var/log/...)
Or put this in /etc/make.conf: PORT_LOGDIR=/var/log/portage
so next time you do know what got updated.

nixnut: sorry for putting it into the wrong category, I knew it's not really installing, but everything else I thought of didn't fit really either. (dunno why 'other things' didn't came into my mind :wink: )

jomen: etc-update has been done, but no nanorc, I think that means it hasn't been updated. I didn't log portage until now.
