Hello,

I am going to install Gentoo, but first I want to know how to boot from a floppy. I don't want LILO/GRUB to take over the MBR. I want it to just boot Windows. When I have a floppy inserted I want it to boot Gentoo that I'm going to install on the HDD. How do I create a boot disk to load my Gentoo installation off the HDD? I have read the Bootdisk HOWTO, but it's freaking confusing.

EDIT: I just realized...is there a way to load the HDD Gentoo installation using you Gentoo Universal CD? Even though I might have to type in a few commands, I think it would be easier.

Taken directly from the Grub Manual. Check it out.
