I have a network at my small business that is running on 192.168.1.XXX. The ip addresses for all my computers are all setup through my linksys router. I have a carwash paypoint that has to access the internet to process credit cards. This has to go through another router whose ip address has to be 192.168.55.99. The tech who is setting up the carwash doesn't know a thing about what he's doing and his help desk doesn't know much about it either. How can i setup this up so that his router will work for his equipment with in my network. When he's able to connect to his equipment through his router he cannot get a connection out. He's using a 3com router that has one WAN input and a 4-port switch built in. The way i'm suggesting it to have a line off my switch go into the WAN port on the 3com. the 3com needs to be assigned an address from my router. when we do this it gets assigned 192.168.1.105 and is using this as WAN address. |

That should work. But what is exactly your question? Isn't it working or couldn't you convince the tech to try it. |
