Hi,
I'm installing gentoo on a Mac at my high school, and since it would be very hard to take it home and install it, I've decided to go with the option of installing it by SSHing from the linux installation at my house. So, I've followed the instructions, and now the Mac is ready for SSH (i started up the SSH 'server'). Now, I have the latest gentoo linux installed at my house, so how do I go about and connect to the Mac at school? I have its IP address. |

When net-misc/openssh is installed on your Gentoo you´ll get a connection to the Mac with:
ssh ip
But I guess I understand something wrong..

It is important to note that many schools are behind a firewall that might refuse any incoming connections to any port. Effectively preventing a computer from running any kind of server application (including ssh). It has happened to me a couple of times. |

Okay, I'll convince them to open a connection with me sometime. |
