Dopo aver avuto problemi con emerge kde mi è stato consigliato aggiornare gcc.Seguendo le istruzioni della guida gentoo per passare da gcc 3.3 a 3.4 http://www.gentoo.org/doc/it/gcc-upgrading.xml ho dato il comando:

i casi sono due, secondo me: o non trova "i386-pc-linux-gnu-gcc", o non trova locate.
prova a riemergere locate, io ho avuto alcuni problemi con groff con xorg-7.0 in quanto alcuni programmi non sono segnati come dipendenza di xorg modulare, magari è qualcosa di simile.

Non credo proprio che sia locate... Dice che non riesce ad eseguire (run) e nemmeno a trovare (locate) "i386-pc-linux-gnu-gcc". Poi locate non è un pacchetto essenziale, perché dovrebbe essere usato nella compilazione di groff?

Quell'i386 non mi sembra corretto...

eh si neanche a me sembra corretto i386 ma sono sicuro di aver dato:

C'è qualcosa che non quadra, emerge info segnala gcc-3.3.6 mentre hai il 3.4. Hai dato un:

# source /etc/profile


?

Dopodichè ricompilerei libtool, come segnalato in precedenza e poi via di "emerge -e world".
