hello

i've installed ati-drivers, configured xorg.conf and started x. at first look all seems ok, but when i execute any ati-related command (glxinfo, glxgears) i get its output(command works) but at its end the console freezes (i won't get bash prompt even after ctrl-c) ctrl+alt+backspace doesn't restart x, it causes blank screen.

executig ps x (after glxinfo for example) freezes also:

Code:
localhost ~ # ps x

notice that it ends with "0x32 24 dc 0 32 0 r . . 8 8 8 8 0 24 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 None" not a bash prompt (here it hangs)

the kernel is 2.6.15-gentoo-r1 and i have x11-drivers/ati-drivers-8.14.13-r3, gcc 3.4.4

just to inform - desperately, i unmerged ati-drivers and emerged with ~x86 keywords (the ~x86 is much more bigger in size) and following a guide from here http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_ATI_Drivers i've successfully installed the driver. so if you meet with similar problems like me, try ~x86 :P
