HTPC Remote Control

Hi Guys

I have been working for the last few days at setting up an HTPC, so far I have Myth installed and working with my Nebula PCI DIGI TV Card, DVD's working, although MPlayer keeps using the wromg audio track by default, and I have just figured out that my Remote supplied by Nebula, is working, and to be honest I like it more than in windows, especially DVD's.

Now the question.

The remote is using /dev/event3, how do I setup lircd to use that device without loading one of its drivers?
