hello
i've installed ati-drivers, configured xorg.conf and started x. at first look all seems ok, but when i execute any ati-related command (glxinfo, glxgears) i get its output(command works) but at its end the console freezes (i won't get bash prompt even after ctrl-c) ctrl+alt+backspace doesn't restart x, it causes blank screen.
executig ps x (after glxinfo for example) freezes also:
Code: | localhost ~ # ps x

just to inform - desperately, i unmerged ati-drivers and emerged with ~x86 keywords (the ~x86 is much more bigger in size) and following a guide from here http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_ATI_Drivers i've successfully installed the driver. so if you meet with similar problems like me, try ~x86 ![Razz :P](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif) |
