PostPosted: Thu Feb 16, 2006 8:28 pm    Post subject: Xen sources patches. Reply with quote

Hi Tigr,

do you think it would be possible to included the Xen (virtualization ) patches in the next release.

more info here :http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Xen_and_Gentoo

Xen now works and stable with x86 and amd64, and I would love to see it included in nitro.

Kind regards

IMO, this is correct, especially with reiser4..

Although I don't really need them, what did the trick? Or is it too hackish? Or are these just svn ebuils?

/edit: Ok I saw it these are svn ebuilds ;) Very nice btw.

But hey they give an error here:

Hey, thanks for the ebuilds, always handy svns build for madwifi!

Looks like this is not nitro related, more rc3 related, so, alas same error as before for me;

Just a quick warning for anyone relying on the official ati drivers (fglrx), so far they dont seem to work with 2.6.16 kernels, but it is a known issue 122335. Hopefully it can be fixed or were stuck waiting for ati to release (another) updated driver :roll:

now i will trie the new kernel and then emerge the nvidia-modul, at the first time i had download the nvidia driver from the nvidia hompage.

Strange enough, i emerged them successfully and modprobing all of these modules was flawless, btw, i hope you didn't emerge with --nodeps? because otherwise madwifi-tools from same pull don't get installed :?
