screen is shifted after quiting X

okay as I got further with this I try another post. I'm using vesafb-tng and nvidia-kernel. When boot the computer everything is fine and the fb screen just where it has to be. When I start X it's still fine, but when I leave X now, the whole screen is shifted like about a third of it's space to the right and I got a black border on the left I cannot reach with the mouse.. I'm using a flatpanel which is not adjutable, but I'm sure workspace continues right of the visible space. I tried to play around with fbset, but changeing resolution, frequency or bitrate does not change anything. Starting X again the screen is centerd again. To restore the position of the framebuffer I have to reboot. Any ideas on that?
